Are you a detail-oriented and organized payroll professional looking for a new challenge? Our client, a reputable organization in the East End, seeks a skilled Payroll Administrator to join their team on a contract basis.
Required skills and qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in payroll processing for hourly and salary employees or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification considered an asset
- Working knowledge of payroll using ADP
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Excellent communication (written and oral)
- Superior customer service skills
- Proven interpersonal, organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail
- High level of confidentiality
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Verify information entered for accuracy and completeness
- Process all new hires, terminations, time off requests, pay changes, status changes, transfers and any other employee changes into payroll system
- Assist with the processing of the bi-weekly payroll, including review of data input and output
- Assist with various biweekly payroll audits
- Prepare payroll reports as required
- Verify weekly payroll estimates received and assist with balancing and discrepancies
- Assist with Year-end processing including reconciliations and T4 balancing
- Maintain all related payroll files, spreadsheets and records
- Respond promptly and courteously to internal and external inquiries
- Maintain payroll training documentation and provide training to payroll team as required
- Other duties as assigned
The wage for this position ranges between $24.00 - $26.44 per hour based on experience.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm
Contract length: 2 months with the possibility of extension
