Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments for RMC Group of Companies. This role involves reviewing and entering invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and maintaining organized financial records. The Clerk will handle vendor inquiries, reconcile bank statements, and participate in company safety initiatives, supporting smooth financial operations.
Requirements:
- Assemble invoices to be completed for payment
- Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
- Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
- Clarify questionable invoice items or prices
- Enter invoices into account software for approval
- Obtain necessary approval for payment of invoices
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Reconcile bank statements
- Participate in Company Safety program and initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years prior experience in Accounts Payables (Preferred)
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and thoroughness

Work Environment:
This position is primarily office based. Infrequent travel to worksites in Edmonton and area may be required.
Hours of Work:
Typical hours of work are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. However, overtime may be required during peak season.
