We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Technician to join our growing Accounting Firm in South Edmonton. This position needs to be filled immediately.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online is REQUIRED.
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
A working knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable principles, and payroll processing.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Languages: English

Responsibilities:

Perform bookkeeping functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations.
Prepare and review financial statements, collecting, analyzing, balancing, and maintaining account information to ensure accurate month-to-month and year-end reporting.
Prepare GST (quarterly, monthly, and annual) returns.
Maintain vendor accounts with supporting documentation and reconcile statements.
Maintain financial records and filing.
Answer phone calls.
