RESPONSIBILITIES
- Training for bookkeeping department
- Managing workflow
- Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Payroll
- Government filings, GST/HST and Payroll remittances
- Onboarding new clients and transferring existing data to cloud software
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed of engagements

QUALIFICATIONS
** Proficiency in QBO and QuickBooks online is a must**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, QBO, QuickBooks Desktop and Sage50
- Responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, financial reports and government filings -HST, payroll source deduction remittances.
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
- Other software that are considered an asset are Dext, Hubdoc, Xero, and Wagepoint
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.
- Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.

- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
