Your opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Accountant (3+ years’ experience) to support partners in completing Compilations, Review, Audit and Tax Engagements for our diverse clientele. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for supervision and training of accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Public Accounting Firms in Canada is MUST
- Strong understanding and Knowledge of ASPE.
- Proficiency in Caseware, Taxprep/Cantax, QuickBooks and MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An individual who places high values on teamwork, client service and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare working papers for Compilation, Review and Audit engagements for partners’ review.
- Prepare Corporate and Personal Tax Returns
- Preparation of tax slips (T3, T4, T4A, T5, etc.)
- Experience in reconciling Payroll, HST, WSIB, EHT and other tax filings.
- Assist in preparing response to various CRA Audits and Queries.
- Frequent communication with clients, responding to their questions, concerns, and requests.
- Keeping partners and other team members informed on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues arising during the course of the engagement.
- Prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.
- Build positive working relationships with staff to effectively manage work-flow and client needs.
- Collaborate with partners for capacity and resource planning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
