We offer full services including on-site client accounting to our medium and high net worth clients, our entrepreneurs, and our small one or two man client businesses throughout British Columbia and Washington State. Our client range includes film and television, hospitality, tech, small business and cross border industries.
We seek a seasoned Senior Accountant who is currently working at a CPA practice and plays a hands-on crucial role in ensuring accurate financial analysis for reporting year end tax filing, corporate tax compliance plus compilation and review engagements.
This is an opportunity to play a key role using your communication abilities, your deep understanding of accounting principles, and your exceptional problem solving skills as you strive for development and career growth.
Your Role:
- Corporate and year-end preparation and tax filing compliance
- Preparing NTR and Review Engagement files including tax planning and financial statements
- Supervise junior staff, act as mentor for training and review of their work
- Work closely with our Bookkeeping Team
- Build effective client relationships during frequent communications
- Contribute to the development of process and procedure documentation
- Provide accounting insights and recommendations for specific problems
Qualifications:
- A CPA (CGA, CMA or equivalent) with five to seven years CPA practice work experience
- A minimum of three years current CPA Canadian practice work experience
- Currently employed with a CPA practice firm or similar experience
- A Bachelor Degree helpful
- Advanced software knowledge of TaxPrep, CaseWare, CaseView, QuickBooks & Sage 50
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet filing deadlines
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast paced team orient environment
- Genuinely interested in mentoring the development of junior staff
- Able to build client loyalty through effective communication and a positive work ethic
