The Manitoba Association of Friendship Centres is a non-profit organization that serves as the provincial/territorial organization for the 11 Friendship Centres in Manitoba. Our job is to improve the quality of life for Indigenous people by supporting self-determined activities, encourage equal access and participation in society, negotiate with the provincial and federal government regarding matters of concern to Friendship Centres collectively, provide assistance to Friendship Centres, disseminate information concerning the member Friendship Centres, Indigenous people and the general public, encourage and improve communication between member Friendship Centres, and to promote the development of new Friendship Centres.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Bookkeeper at the Manitoba Association of Friendship Centres in Winnipeg, MB. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling financial statements, bookkeeping, payroll, accounting software management, finance-related tasks, and journal entries.
Qualifications
- Financial Statements, Bookkeeping, and Journal Entries (Accounting) skills
- Experience in using accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Knowledge of finance principles relative to non-profit organizations
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Relevant certification or diploma in Accounting or Finance
