Accounting Clerk
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the finance department by performing various accounting and clerical tasks. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reports and reconciliations to ensure the smooth operation of financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Order processing – verify customer information is complete and prepare documents for the Shipping Department
- Help create and issue invoices for customers
- Communicate effectively with customers and sales representatives
- Monitor customer accounts relative to their assigned credit limits and perform customer payment follow-ups
- Reconcile accounts, issue credit notes, and adjust when applicable
- Liaise with Planning, Production, and Sales teams regarding customer order lead time
- and shipping dates and cross-functional concerns
- Enter new product codes into the ERP system and maintain the product codes list within it
- Foster a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement within the order management realm, identifying areas for ERP system enhancement and deploying improvements within your role
- Keep track of accruals such as demos and samples and make necessary adjustments to maintain accurate financial records
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience in an administrative role is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with ERP systems a Plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written French & English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
