POSITION OUTLINE:
Our accounting department is looking for an organized individual who excels at accuracy and pays attention to detail. If you are someone who likes working in a fast-paced, high volume, inventory-based environment, this position is for you.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Three-way match in a multi-currency environment
- Invoice data entry (1000-1500 invoices per month)
- Determine coding for invoices and ensure proper approvals
- Solve invoice discrepancies
- Process vendor payments (cheque, EFT, wires)
- Address vendor inquires & resolve issues
- Vendor statement reconciliation
- Filing and other office duties as required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Post secondary business/accounting education is definite asset
- Minimum 3 years’ full cycle accounts payable experience
- Minimum 2 years’ accounts payable experience in an inventory-driven environment
- Working knowledge and ability of 3-way matching and the accounts payable cycle
- Proficient computer skills, especially data-entry skills
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Well organized, with excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain attention to detail along with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain an excellent service approach
