We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable Specialist for our operations in our Edmonton office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow, managing day-to-day office activities, and supporting various departments. This position will report directly to the Controller and work collaboratively with the General Manager and other departments to ensure operational excellence. Preference will be given to individuals experienced in Microsoft D365 or a similar ERP system, that have strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
Vendor Management
Bookkeeping Duties (Microsoft D365)
Full cycle accounts payable, posting invoices, account reconciliations, managing vendor discounts, and monthly A/P runs.
Vendor Management
Monthly Reconciliations
Intercompany Reconciliations
Receive customer payments
Responsible for answering the main phone line
Corporate credit card, fuel card and expense account reconciliations and reports
Liaise with VP of Finance on a Regular Basis
Maintain accounting procedures and policies and systems of internal controls to ensure the integrity of all financial systems
Provide backup support to the other full cycle accounting duties when required
What You Offer
Previous full cycle bookkeeping experience
Proficiency with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP program is a must
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Strong organizational, management and analytical skills
Excellent time management skills
Advanced proficiency with Excel
Strong attention to detail
A firm understanding and familiarity of Canadian GAAP
Experience working with Outlook and Microsoft Office applications is a must
