The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing customer invoicing, collections, and ensuring accounts are accurately maintained, including compliance with U.S. tax and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing customer accounts, and resolving billing discrepancies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute AR invoices to US customers,
- Receive, process, and verify incoming payments related to accounts receivable, ensuring proper coding to the correct job costings and general ledger accounts.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Review customer accounts by reconciling monthly statements, communicating with customers to resolve discrepancies, and providing payment information.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, ensuring timely collection of payments and maintaining an up-to-date AR ledger.
- Prepare and process payment collections twice per month, including posting payments to the system and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure all AR filing and records are kept up to date, organized, and accessible for reporting purposes.
Education / Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
RelevantExperience:
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, administrative tasks, or a similar role.
- U.S. Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Solid understanding of accounting systems and internal controls
- Detail-oriented with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with a high volume of invoices and tight deadlines
- Ability to process EFT payments
- SAP experience would be an asset
