About Our Client Our client, located in Toronto, is an exciting & dynamic entertainment company and looking for a
Payroll Analyst to join their team.
Responsibilities Reporting to a Finance leader the Payroll Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Process payroll for salaried employees on a bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly basis. Employees are based in both the Canada and the United States of America.
- Process payroll for hourly employees based on time cards
- Process journal entries for corresponding pay periods
- Prepare supporting documentation for quarterly audits
- Maintain and create appropriate payroll documentation outlining processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with respect to the appropriate tax laws as well as internal controls
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- US payroll processing experience is required
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail in an environment requiring flexibility and adaptability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
