Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Communicate with customers to address inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Initiate credit and reference checks with credit institutions when necessary.
- Manage customer credit limits.
- Form collection strategies to mitigate customer objections to making timely payments.
- Generate financial reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Excellent data entry skills
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
- Prior experience in customer service is a plus
