Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Administrator/Bookkeeper who enjoys variety in their work to assist our fast paced business dealing primarily with retail chain stores. Salary for this position is commensurate with experience and the ability to handle more advanced bookkeeping tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5-years related experience in Canada.
Expertise in Quickbooks Desktop and Excel is required.
Distribution/wholesale experience is an asset.
Experience maintaining social media accounts is an asset.
Must be very fluent in English.
Responsibilities:
Conduct bookkeeping tasks such as preparing cheques, creating sales orders, posting invoices, preparing deposits, journal entries, reconciliations, petty cash.
Fulfill Purchase Orders using online platforms and creating and tracking related paperwork (packing lists, bills of lading).
Track inventory and create sales reports using Excel.
AR, AP, Payroll, HST returns, Govt returns.
Month end/year end functions.
Other administrative tasks as required.
Maintain an organized, up-to-date filing system.
Reception and telephone assistance as required.
