Join Our Team as a Bilingual Payroll Administrator!
A well-established and respected Canadian retailer is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Payroll Administrator to join our HR team on a full-time basis. This position is located at our corporate Home Office in Toronto, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle, biweekly payroll processing for commission, salaried, and hourly employees.
- Maintain and manage the time and attendance tracking system.
- Provide prompt and effective responses to payroll inquiries from our retail locations, offering solutions as needed.
- Prepare and issue Records of Employment (ROEs) and generate payroll reports upon request.
- Perform basic accounting tasks related to payroll functions.
- Utilize intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Collaborate closely with retail locations and various Human Resources departments across the organization.
- Assist with additional payroll-related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume payroll environment is essential.
- Proficiency with ADP, Kronos, and Workforce Now (WFN) is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current Canadian legislative requirements and CRA regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
- Bilingual proficiency in French is required.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with integrity.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and flexibility in the face of changing priorities.
- Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure without compromising attention to detail.
- A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while also being an effective team player.
- Capable of interpreting, implementing, and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
