Join Triovest, one of the largest privately-owned Canadian commercial real estate companies, as an Accounts Payable Administrator on a 6-month contract in Calgary. In this role, you will be instrumental in processing invoices related to development, property taxes, and utilities. Your responsibilities will include uploading and processing invoices into our accounting system, ensuring accurate coding, and obtaining timely approvals. You will also play a pivotal role in the maintenance of an organized AP filing system, and actively address and resolve issues with external vendors and internal departments to minimize late fees on payments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process invoices for development, property taxes, and utilities in our accounting system.
- Ensure accurate coding and obtain timely approvals for invoice processing.
- Maintain an organized AP filing system for efficient record-keeping.
- Address and resolve issues with external vendors and internal departments to minimize late fees on payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least one year of accounts payable experience.
- Previous experience in Commercial Real Estate and/or Property Management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Yardi is considered a valuable asset.
- Experience in processing utility and telecom invoices would also be considered an asset.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Thorough understanding of the invoice approval process and its application to Accounts Payable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
