As a well established recycling business, we are currently looking to add a Full-Time Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician to our team, reporting to the CFO. We have a great team of people at John Ross & Sons Limited and offer interesting, challenging, and rewarding work.
The candidate must have previous Accounting/Bookkeeping experience and be an highly organized, fast learning individual and be able to work well with others.
Duties Include:
- Assist with Inventory Accounting system
- General bookkeeping data entry
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Accounts receivable and payables
- Assisting with weekly payroll
- General ledger analysis and reconciliation
Preference will be given to those with:
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Strong Excel skills (experience in creating and maintaining financial spreadsheets with formulas)
- Experience with computerized accounting software is essential
- Post-secondary education in Accounting
- 2-5 Year Previous experience in an accounting role
The successful candidate should be highly organized and have high attention to detail. Must be able to work and learn independently and be able to problem solve quickly.
