Central Valley Adult Learning Association Inc. (CVALA) is a dedicated regional committee in New Brunswick, committed to adult education and literacy improvement. Established in 2008 as a registered charitable non-profit organization, CVALA operates free adult education programs across York, Queens, and Sunbury counties. Our mission includes enhancing adult education accessibility, promoting social inclusion, poverty reduction, and strengthening the regional labor market.
Qualifications:
· Must-have experience with Sage50 Software.
· Previous bookkeeping background required.
· A Certificate or Diploma in relevant studies is ideal.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be able to work with minor supervision while maintaining complete financial records for the organization. This position requires the candidate to work in person, with minor remote opportunities. Ideally, the candidate will have some availability during the daytime between Monday and Friday (8:30 a.m. and 4:14 p.m.). However, there is the opportunity to work evening hours, and the schedule will be finalized with the selected individual.
- Maintain complete financial records and prepare reports for review by the treasurer and board meetings.
- Input journal entries, process payroll, and manage reports using Sage accounting software.
- Track expenditures to ensure alignment with the budget.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and completing financial reports for Working NB.
- Develop policies and procedures for financial processes.
