What your role will be...
As our new Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and organizing our financial records, including handling bookkeeping, payroll, HST returns, and client tax preparations. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and is ready to grow their career in a dynamic environment.
What you'll be doing...
- Manage accounts payable
- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks
- HST returns for Chamberlain Wealth and prepare annual tax returns for clients
- Process payroll accurately and timely
- Assist with integrating financial systems of newly acquired firms into our existing framework
- Collaborate with our team to streamline accounting procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Provide reporting to executives
What you need...
- You have completed a college or university program with a focus on accounting
- You possess knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll and basic accounting principles
- Prior experience with QuickBooks and financial software is highly preferred
- You’re proactive, eager to learn, and ready to take on new challenges as our firm continues to grow
- You have experience preparing personal tax returns
