Accounts Payable Job description
Do you have a passion for accounts payable and have experience in manufacturing, logistics and / or distribution? Are you efficient in processing documents and driven to learn and be part of a cohesive team? Then this is a role for you. We are seeking an individual who is very detailed oriented, diligent, solution oriented, energetic and able to perform various A/P related duties in a high paced environment. Experience in a production / manufacturing environment is a MUST.
Our ideal candidate will be:

- Proficient in accounts payable duties, efficient in various office administrative related tasks, strong understanding of logistics, purchasing etc.
- Extremely detail oriented and number proficient and able to document discrepancies, be solution and resolution oriented and focused on completing tasks efficiently and on time.
- Well-spoken, clear in their communication both written and oral.
- Analytical as well as subjective in knowing how to fix problems and communicate with suppliers.
- Able to multi-task & manage their time effectively
- Able to work closely within a team; a team player who recognizes solutions is collaboration with many departments and people
- Accounts payable duties and functions will include completing payments and expenses, managing vendor payments, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, processing accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, conduct month-end closing activities, maintain organized financial records and documentation, collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment-related issues. Maintaining records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly on the network. Answering and responding to supplier inquiries on all platforms; email, phone, etc. Following up for logistics and coordination of internal items.
Key skill sets will include: experience and proficiency in accounting software and office 365, strong data entry skills with attention to detail and focus on numerical accuracy, experience with account reconciliation and payables processing, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Other attributes will include understanding a production or manufacturing environment & the implications throughout the supply chain. Clear communication both written and verbal and ability to take initiative and be a self starter.
- We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years experience preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
