TAAG is seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join the team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in financial record-keeping. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
- Enter data accurately and timely for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Assist in preparing and publishing monthly financial statements using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Sage 50 software.
- Support month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with quarterly and annual audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Generate financial reports for management to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning.
- Verify client documentation to ensure compliance with guidelines and standards.
- Provide administrative and financial support to management and other staff members as needed.
- Perform any additional duties as necessary to support the smooth operation of the accounting department and the company.
Candidate Profile:
- Post-secondary diploma in bookkeeping, accounting or related field is preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Sage 50) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
