Competitive salary range: $50,000-$60,000
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of public accounting experience in Canada
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French —not mandatory if you have 3+ years of public accounting experience
- Diploma or degree in accounting
- Familiar with tax software such as TaxCycle, TaxPrep, or ProFile
- Experience in Personal, Corporate, and Trust Income tax preparation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sage, QuickBooks, and CaseWare
- Strong strategic thinking, customer service, communication, and time management skills
- Driven to make a positive impact on clients
About the role
If hired, you will:
- Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
- Prepare personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns
- Research tax issues
- Handle CRA reviews/audits
- Communicate with tax authorities to represent clients (CRA and RQ)
- Assist with bookkeeping engagements for clients (QBO/Sage)
- Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and assess the quality of financial statements
- Analyze financial documents, prepare reports, and audit findings
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, procedures and internal controls
