Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a mechanical organization located in Ottawa, ON. We are looking to hire a Accounting Clerk to join their team on a contract basis of 1 months, which has the possibility of extension.
Your new role
- Invoice Posting and Setup: Accurately post and set up invoices in the accounting system.
- Accounts Receivables: Manage and process accounts receivables, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Purchase Orders: Process and manage purchase orders, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
- Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile credit card statements and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
