BMW Toronto is one of Ontario’s premier BMW dealerships and we’re looking for someone to take on the accountant role within our growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of automotive dealership accounting and will report to the Controller. - This position is full-time onsite at BMW Toronto
Key Responsibilities
- Review, balance and post vehicle deals into the general ledger
- Review and reconcile all vehicle related schedules
- Review and reconcile parts inventory schedules
- Processing on demand cheques including lien payouts, customer refunds and dealer trade purchases.
- Accounts payables including coding invoices, posting and issuing payments in a timely manner
- Reconciling and processing warranty remittances and aftermarket payables
- Perform bank reconciliations as required
- Assist with accounts receivable reconciliations of customer and departmental cash clearing accounts
- Monitor floorplan accounts to ensure payments are submitted within guidelines.
- Review vehicle purchases and Inventory schedule maintenance
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing
- Other accounting duties as required by management
Minimum Qualifications
- Post secondary education with accounting background
- 3-5 years of relevant automotive accounting experience
- Experience using Reynolds & Reynolds dealership management software
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a timely manner
