Utilizing a fund accounting model, you will oversee effective financial management, information services, data collection, record keeping, reporting, risk management, and auditing for our organization.

Duties
- Administer all financial information and collaborate with other directors on financial functions related to their departments.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data, complying with legislation, accounting principles, best practices, agreements, and Elmwood policies.
- Contribute to effective management by preparing accurate, timely financial reports and statements.
- Present monthly financial statements and reserve schedules to the Executive Director, Audit and Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
- Monitor financial performance against departmental and consolidated operating budgets in consultation with the Executive Director.
- Propose and create Government budget requests
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, government remittances, payroll reconciliations, and more.
- Work directly with auditors to prepare year-end financial statements and schedules.
- Supervise finance department staff, including Fund Development and Trust Accounting, and serve as a liaison with IT service providers, banking services, insurance providers, and other major service providers.
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with accounting principles.
- Support the development of organizational risk management strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality within and outside the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration degree.
- CPA designation
- Minimum five years of proven successful experience in a leadership role in a complex and/or diverse health care or organization of a similar size. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, financial analysis, budget management, and contract administration considered an asset.
- CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Clearance is required
