America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is currently seeking an
Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our Canadian operations at our Head Office in Surrey, BC.
This position is primarily responsible for managing invoicing tasks, including reviewing, processing, tracking, coding, and submitting invoices for payment.

Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day processing of financial transactions including invoicing, processing payments, tracking and maintaining ledgers, collections of aged accounts receivables and resolving account irregularities and maintaining accurate project and Customer details.
- Maintaining project costs and revenue set up as dictated by the specific business unit.
- Prepare customer invoices per contract terms and purchase orders and file processed invoices.
- Identify and resolve billing issues or concerns from customers or inquiries within the Finance team.
- Access and review bank statements to identify deposits made and direct A/P on payment application
- Review, investigate and resolve any aged A/R.
- Monitor aged A/R reports and engage AR Management if necessary.
- Prepare aged A/R reports and supply to AR Management for review.
- Form collection strategies to mitigate customer objections to making timely A/R payments.
- Investigate collection problems and advise customers on corporate A/R policies and procedures.
- Make arrangement for payment of outstanding and late accounts.
- Meet regularly with A/R team to review/establish/improve processes and discuss status on projects and invoices.
- Perform audits on requested information including tracking down information requested, providing back-up documentation, and addressing any discrepancies that may arise.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions.
- Prepare billing summaries and updates to various departments/stakeholders.
- Answer queries from customers on any issues related to billing or A/R.
- Provide support and assistance to other members of the Finance team to ensure deadlines and billing or A/R objectives are met.
- Update budgets, task codes and rates as directed from project management.
- Enter new projects into the billing system as directed from project management.
Qualifications And Experience Required
- 1-3 years of experience in an A/R capacity
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
- Knowledge in the following programs is preferable: Microsoft Dynamics and Great Plains
- In-depth understanding financial accounting

WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position offers a hybrid work model, providing a balance of two days in the office and three days working remotely each week.
- General office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
