What will you do at Novajet?
We are looking for individuals who possess a strong drive for results and a passion for meeting the needs of our customers in a safety-focused environment.
As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will report to the Controller, and work collaboratively with other team members to support the accounting department. The successful applicant will have strong analytical and technical skills in accounting as well as essential communication skills; written and oral.
Working Conditions
- Office environment: Monday to Friday - on site.
Responsibilities
- Verify invoices and ensure proper coding and backup is provided.
- Print and collect all receipts and operations invoices for each flight.
- Accurately allocate expenses to the applicable aircraft tail, flight and expense account, in accordance with the invoicing structure (fixed, variable, owner).
- Process invoices, credit cards, reimbursements and per diems in accounting software while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Work in partnership with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient billing of expenses.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors and employees regarding expenses.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that information is accurate.
- Respond to emails from vendors and employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize, maintain and secure all vendor files.
- Work in partnership with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient processing of expenses, meeting weekly deadlines.
- Assist with related projects and special assignments as required.
What you will bring to Novajet
- Degree or diploma in accounting
- 1-2 years of accounts payable and payroll experience
- Proficiency with MS Office and an accounting software
- High level of attention to detail and an ability to multi-task
- An ability to problem solve, think outside the box and classify costs with information provided.
- Must be able to work within tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Flexible, organized, and self-motivated individual
