About This Opportunity
As a key member of the Finance team, the Team Lead Accounts Payable will use knowledge and experience to lead the Accounts payable team and manage the timely and accurate execution of full cycle Accounts Payable functions. This position will report to Manager, Accounts Payable
Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day
- Lead the Accounts Payable team of ten with full cycle Accounts Payable functions in a multi-entity environment utilizing JIRA ticketing system.
- Monitor and triage incoming tickets within team members; review and resolve aging tickets.
- Train, mentor and provide day-to-day support to team members.
- Provide assistance and answer inquiries for internal and external customer support. Managing Inquiry emails.
- Maintain Vendor Management in NetSuite
- Collaborate with Corporate Service teams on vendor consolidation initiatives.
- Manage company credit card programs.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly accruals and various account reconciliations; audits and other related administrative duties as required.
- Ongoing improvement of existing processes and systems.
- Assist with credit cards processes such as monthly reconciliation, issuing and canceling credit cards holders.
- Support Finance leads with timely accruals for release of accurate statements; comply with audit requirements; assist with adhoc reporting as requested
- Collaborate with colleagues, Operational leads, Admins, and Finance leads to recommend and drive process improvement
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- 3 - 5 years of Accounts Payable experience in multi-entity environment with at least one year in a supervisory role
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration/Management, or equivalent
- Required advanced in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Employee development and coaching skills
- Detail-oriented with strong reconciliation skills
- Ability to work independently and also as an effective member of a team
- Ability communicate with various departments and different levels of management
