Role : Sr. Accountant – Assurance

Skills - Must Have: Canadian CPA designation or CFE completed Current work experience at another CPA firm in Canada 3+ years of experience in audit, reviews, compilations engagements- and/or tax (T1's and T2's) for Private or Public Company clients Strong experience in ASPE, IFRS and CAS standards Must be able to work 5 days in office in Edmonton
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Advising on solution focused recommendations to clients
- Begin to lead and execute client engagements, specifically audits and reviews
- As needed, preparation of audit working papers, reviews, and compilation engagements
- Begin to review small and medium engagements
- Responsible for maintaining current client relationships
- Obtain a basic understanding of our clients’ businesses and learn their best practices
- Represent PAND at client industry events
Education & Experience - 2 to 4 years of progressive professional accounting experience
- Understanding of accounting and auditing standards and principles, tax regulations and legal documents in a financial environment
- Experience leading and mentoring CPA students
- CPA designation or near completion of CPA Skills & Knowledge
- Business acumen
- Proven relationship builder

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite
