Role: Sr. Accountant – Assurance
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Salary: $75k CAD - $85k CAD

Job Highlights:
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Advising on solution focused recommendations to clients
- Begin to lead and execute client engagements, specifically audits and reviews
- Preparation of audit working papers, reviews, and compilation engagements
- Begin to review small and medium engagements
- Responsible for maintaining current client relationships
- Obtain a basic understanding of our clients’ businesses and learn their best practices
- Represent the company at client industry events
Skills - Must Have:
- Canadian CPA designation or CFE completed
- Current work experience at another CPA firm in Canada
- 3+ years of experience in audit, reviews, compilations engagements- and/or tax (T1's and T2's) for Private or Public Company clients
- Strong experience in ASPE, IFRS and CAS standards
- Must be able to work 5 days in office in Edmonton
- Looking for generalist experience: experience in some audits, compilations + review engagements in a client-facing role.
Our client is looking for keen, team-oriented experienced Sr. Accountant in our Assurance Group. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for delivering a range of public accounting services to our small business clientele.
Education & Experience
- 2 to 4 years of progressive professional accounting experience
- Understanding of accounting and auditing standards and principles, tax regulations and legal documents in a financial environment
- Experience leading and mentoring CPA students
- CPA designation or near completion of CPA Skills & Knowledge
- Business acumen
- Proven relationship builder

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite
