We are seeking a Bookkeeper with at least 2 years of experience to join our growing team. This position will report to our Toronto office at 360 Bay Street, Unit 600.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and ensure accuracy in financial data entry.
- Prepare and generate detailed financial reports, summaries, and spreadsheets using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
- Process payroll and ensure timely, accurate payments.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Track and manage overdue accounts, issuing reminders and assisting with collections.
- Work closely with the accounting team to assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking.
- Provide support for external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
- GST/HST Filling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (minimum of 2 years preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite.).
- Ability to work with large sets of financial data and perform in-depth analysis using Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary
- $45,000 to $48,000 Yearly
