ACCOUNTANT

We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team in a full-time, permanent, onsite position. Your positive attitude, time management, and organizational skills will be fundamental to your success in this role.
What you will be working on:
- Assisting the Assistant Controllers with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Preparing financial statements and reports for management review, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in internal controls
- Preparing journal entries to ensure proper recording of all business transactions
- Performing account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Tracking and managing inventory, assisting with inventory counts and reconciliations, analyzing inventory, and recommending solutions for inventory optimization
- Handling accounts receivable tasks, including billing and collections, uploading invoices to customer portals, processing credit applications, managing orders on credit hold, and cash application
- Posting, reconciling, and paying vendor bills, calculating rebates, and responding to vendor queries
- Preparing and filing HST returns
- Liaising with auditors to provide supporting documentation
- Performing other ad hoc tasks as requested
Who we are looking for:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (CPA or pursuing CPA designation is an asset)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software; experience with QuickBooks/Sage X3 is an asset
- A solid understanding of accounting principles with relevant work experience
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, a team player, and a proactive initiative-taker
- A high level of integrity and ownership of assigned tasks
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check

Work Location/Schedule:
- Concord, ON: Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- This is a full-time, in-office role. Standard work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
