MUST-HAVES
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. An MBA degree is preferred
- Demonstrable track record successfully managing large-scale manufacturing operations, preferably within a complex and highly regulated industry
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and quality management systems, such as ISO certifications
- Demonstrated experience building, managing, and developing a high-performing manufacturing team
- Deep expertise in discrete manufacturing to include both make-to-order and make-to-inventory manufacturing environments
- High knowledge of SIOP, planning, and micro/macro forecasting for manufacturing
- Strong financial acumen including costing, inventory management, efficiency projects
- Expertise driving capital projects related to capacity expansion, quality, and efficiency improvement

The new private equity capital enables expanded capacity, new R&D, and the pursuit of strategic acquisitions. The operationally-focused equity sponsor specializes in elastomeric technologies, industrial, and healthcare companies, has more than $10B AUM, and has a long and successful track record in this market.
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Operations will develop and execute organizational and metrics-driven processes that significantly improve the operational performance of the business, ultimately enabling sales growth, cost improvements, and expanded earnings in a collaborative private equity-backed environment. This individual will be a true business leader with the presence and performance of a >$130MM growing business. S/he will be an integral partner to Sales, Product Design, Technology, and Finance & Accounting. Reports will include Planning, Engineering, Production, Quality, and EH&S.
LOCATION
This position is based in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be market-based and competitive. It will include a base salary and performance-based bonus, healthcare benefits, pension, 4 weeks’ vacation, and equity plan participation. The target base salary range is $200-250 CAD.
