Join us as a
- Applies incoming cash (cheques, wires, EFTs, deposits) to customers’ accounts with reference to various sources of payment advice on daily basis.
- Proactively resolves all unidentified cash receipts so that they can be timely applied to proper accounts.
- Processes customers’ credit card payments and provides receipts.
- Manages system processes for auto-application of monthly pre-authorized payment receipts and prepares corrective entries from error logs.
- Processes bank returned items and follows up with Collection and Billing team to reinstate invoice status shown in statement of account.
- Reconciles daily cheques lockbox and daily EFT receipts from bank statement to accounting record.
- Files and archives all reports and documentation on a weekly basis.
- Backup for other Financial Accounting functions.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles with strong math and analytical skills.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point are required. SAP knowledge preferred.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, contracts, technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
- One year contract with possibility of extension
