Dream is looking for a Corporate Accountant
We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our thriving community. Our Dream Industrial REIT Corporate Accounting team is currently seeking an Accountant to maintain our high quality of reporting and accounting within the department.

What will you do?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.
Maintaining the accounting records for various corporate business units:
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly general accounting responsibilities for corporate entities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and the foreign exchange process of our non-Canadian entities and investments
- Support financial analysis of corporate business units
- Prepare all corporate bank account reconciliations
Supporting the team with quarter-end and year-end reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reporting packages and financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Assist with preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with providing documentation to external auditors
Assisting the team with compliance requirements and special projects:
- Assist with various special projects and analyses as required
- Assist with the preparation of legal entity financial statements and statutory reporting
- Assist with ad hoc requests from other departments (e.g., Tax, Treasury, Shared Services, etc.)
Qualifications:
- University or college accounting program graduate
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a CPA designation.
- Previous experience with general accounting or full-cycle month-end close processes, either in a full-time role or co-op position
- Independent and self-motivated with a strong prioritization mindset committed to meeting deadlines and getting things done.
- Strong attention to detail
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to, or experience in, real estate is an asset
Dream is also an approved training office under the CPA Ontario Pre-Approved Program Route (PPR). We will provide anyone working towards their CPA designation the support and practical experience requirements to be successful in the program, and at Dream.
