Intermediate Accountant
My client is a well respected multi-disciplinary accounting firm, and is actively searching for a Intermediate Accountant to join their growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to advance your career by working on exciting projects in a friendly, team environment. This is a hybrid opportunity (two/three days) at their location in the Markham area.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a public accounting firm environment
- CPA designation in process is required
- Experience with audit and review engagements
- Experience contributing to assurance files including the tax return
- Experience liaising with clients
- Experience with Canadian corporate taxes and have the ability to prepare corporate tax returns
- Knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, MS Office (Excel and Word) & Taxprep
- Ability to work as part of a professional team
- Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships
- Ability to solve problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills for prioritizing demands and meeting deadlines
