How You’ll Make an Impact:
As a key member of our team, you’ll directly influence the accuracy of financial operations in a fast-paced, e-commerce-driven environment. You’ll optimize pricing strategies, ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations, and contribute to operational efficiency through data-driven insights and ERP system enhancements. With your attention to detail and entrepreneurial mindset, you will help streamline processes, mitigate risk, and drive the company's growth while maintaining a high standard of financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile customer receivables and co-op accounts monthly, ensuring timely bookings and responses.
- Manage disputes and deductions, submitting claims promptly and ensuring funds are collected within 30 days.
Pricing
- Work with e-commerce teams to ensure accurate pricing and timely updates for new accounts and promotions.
- Review pricing daily for accuracy, optimize accounts, and manage pricing requests and approvals.
Risk Mitigation
- Manage the renewal of Certificates of Insurance with retailers and ensure vendors are compliant with COI requirements.
- Oversee vendor agreements, communications, and assist in the development of the foreign exchange hedging plan.
Inventory Management
- Drive inventory accuracy through reports, adjustments, and automation, ensuring timely sales return processes and monthly reconciliation of the subledger to the GL.
Bank Reconciliations
- Review and monitor bank accounts daily, ensuring timely cash postings and accurate weekly reconciliations.
- Prepare payment worksheets for relevant invoices and present to the Controller to facilitate AP payments.
Other Duties
- Assist in revamping Microsoft BC and analyzing ERP capabilities, providing recommendations for process improvements and PowerBI reporting needs.
- Document internal control processes, create WIR analyses, and support the implementation of recommendations to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of accounting experience specifically in e-commerce areas
- CPA designation or actively perusing
- Strong understanding of and experience using Excel and other Microsoft Suite programs
- Working knowledge of Power BI is an asset
- Experience working with an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics suite of products (Navision / Business Central, Great Plains) and Avalara
- Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment without missing critical deadlines
- Constantly learning and on the hunt for new and innovative strategies
- Team player with excellent people skills
- Possesses a passion for consumer electronics and an entrepreneurial green-light mindset
