Automotive Controller – Napanee, Ontario
We seek a hands-on automotive financial controller to join a family of award-winning dealerships. A minimum of 3 years of Automotive vehicle accounting experience as a Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller or Controller is required to qualify.
Job Overview:
We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant and/or Controller to oversee the financial operations and ensure the integrity of the financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparation of financial statements, managing all aspects of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, accounts reconciliation, forecasting and budgeting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting. The Controller will play a critical role in the organization's financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all relevant government standards and regulations in financial reporting, collaborating with other departments to support their financial needs and objectives, along with managing and training a small administrative staff.
Required Skills-
Proficiency in using accounting software, e.g., PBS, CDK, and R&R software systems, and the ability to utilize MS Excel for reporting purposes is essential.

Strong accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, and account reconciliation knowledge.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Compensation:
An attractive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 (depending upon qualifications and experience), plus a company demonstrator vehicle is available along with a comprehensive benefits plan, one of the best in the industry, covering vision, dental, prescription drugs etc.
