Our well established client is looking to add an Accounts Payable Supervisor to their growing Finance team. This is full-time/permanent role located in the Ottawa-East region.

Responsibilities:
- Supervising the Accounts Payable team and fostering communication across the group
- Establishing new vendors in different accounting software systems
- Overseeing a large volume of vendor invoices
- Managing the workflow associated with processing payments for internal and external payable-related documents
- Ensuring compliance with company internal controls, policies, and procedures during the payment process
- Performing complex vendor statement reconciliation and resolving past due balances
- Managing relationships with vendors and internal customers to resolve payment issues
- Supporting the Accounting Department with month-end and year-end A/P close and A/P accruals
- Analyzing accounts payable processes and suggesting improvements
- Participating in the implementation of improvement projects related to accounts payable processes
- Performing other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
- Strong ability in Data Processing
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions, particularly Accounts Payable
- Familiarity with Accrual Accounting procedures
- Understanding of Intercompany Accounts management
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
