What You’ll Be Doing
As the Intermediate Bookkeeper, you will be a key contributor to the financial and HR operations of a dynamic manufacturing company. Your responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices, match purchase orders, and reconcile vendor statements.
- Prepare and execute payment runs.
Payroll Administration:
- Oversee biweekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, including union remittances.
- Handle payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and holiday processing.
Accounting Functions:
- Prepare GST and PST returns and record journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
HR Data Administration:
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS system and track leave balances.
- Support onboarding and other HR-related tasks.
ERP & Reporting:
- Utilize in-house ERP systems and prepare reports using Excel.
Who You Are
- Over 3 years of experience in accounting with exposure to payroll functions.
- Strong background in manufacturing and union environments is a significant asset.
- Progressing toward CPA designation
- Highly proactive and detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- A collaborative team player with excellent judgment and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Resides in Langley, Cloverdale, or South Surrey, ensuring an easy commute.
