Salary Range: $51.95 - $61.13 /hour
The Lead works with senior leadership to oversee effective financial management for an assigned portfolio.
This position develops and maintains a strategic business partner relationship with stakeholders based on in-depth knowledge of each unit / department including their financial goals, needs, budgets and future planning.
The position provides expert advice and guidance regarding financial concepts, processes and policies as well as interpretation and compliance with Ministry/Ontario Health funding agreements.
The position provides training and updates on various financial matters and supports management in financial accountability and performance so that the hospital can achieve its strategic vision and mission.
The position is accountable for contributing to an effective financial environment for their assigned portfolio, including the identification, mitigation and escalation of financial risks and opportunities.
This position may have direct oversight and supervision of staff who are involved in the producing the deliverables of this role.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or any other related field
- Five or more years of experience in progressively more responsible positions in Finance, with in-depth knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis and healthcare funding concepts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of complex financial analysis and accounting principles, processes and guidelines.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant hospital funding methodology and reporting standards (i.e. MIS/OHRS).
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholder groups and teams, manage relationships, and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Effective ability to communicate with stakeholders in leadership roles
- Confident presentation skills to a variety of audiences of variable sizes
- Demonstrated ability to influence/drive decisions and the activity of leaders
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal corporate teams to identify performance and outcome indicators, enabling effective monitoring of financial planning outcomes
- Expert knowledge of Finance functions.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Masters of Health Administration
- CPA designation
Immunization Requirements
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (primary series/boosters, XBB or KP.2) OR one dose of KP.2 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
