We are seeking a dynamic Collections Specialist to join our client in Oakville! This role is perfect for someone with a background in customer service or call center operations who also has experience in finance or accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will excel in building rapport with clients and enjoy engaging in meaningful conversations while proactively reaching out.
This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with potential for growth and advancement!
Location: Oakville, ON - fully onsite position
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Wage: $27+/hour, based on experience and knowledge
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and manage outbound calls to clients to discuss account statuses and encourage timely payments
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure a positive experience
- Analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends and prioritize follow-up efforts
- Collaborate with clients to negotiate payment arrangements in a supportive manner
- Provide regular updates on account status and outstanding balances
- Stay informed about policies and compliance regulations related to accounts receivable
Requirements:
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on a long-term basis (at least 1 year)
- 2-3 years of experience in customer service, with a background in finance or accounts receivable preferred
- Comfortable handling challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Positive, upbeat personality with excellent communication skills
