Duties and Requirements:
- Support the organization in optimizing its financial transactions and systems.
- Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments and effective communication.
- Maintain many vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Process requests and expense reports on a regular basis.
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices.
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Audit and process credit card bills.
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Obtain and print signatures on cheques as needed.
- Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed.
- Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in outgoing payments.
- Work collaboratively with the Accounting team to ensure accuracy in finances.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of full Accounts Payable Cycle experience.
- Associate degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Tech Savvy; skilled in MS Office, with an advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with v-lookups and pivot tables would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Karmak Fusion or TruckMate would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Works well with tight deadlines and under pressure;
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle potentially challenging interactions with clients.
- A desire and ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals.
