Day-to-day:
Insight Global is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a post-secondary institution. This is an onsite role based in Nanaimo BC. This AP Specialist will be responsible for compiling, organizing, and processing financial information to ensure accurate recognition and payment of financial obligations. Further, this specialist will analyze and resolve transaction errors, manage bulk data, and reconcile supporting documentation. We are looking for a team player with strong organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills as they will be communication cross-functionally often.
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a finance office
- Experience using an accounts payable system including year-end processing
- Experience analyzing complex transactions, weekly payment deadlines, and high volume work assignments.
- Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience working within an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (QuickBooks, sage, etc).
- Experience with Unit4 UBW/FIS (VIU Systems)
