Overview:
Fallsview Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. This position requires proficiency in various payroll systems and a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Payroll Clerk will collaborate closely with the Human Resources department to maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
As the successful candidate your main responsibilities will be:
- Processing weekly payrolls for multiple companies
- Verify employee hours worked
- Update salary information
- Ensure all banking information is accurate
- Electronically submit payroll information to the bank
- Create supporting documentation such as payslips and tax forms
- Create reports to manage payroll payments, deductions, and other regular modifications including government remittances
- Preparing documents for employees as requested
- Maintaining payroll reporting records
- Review changes in relevant employment legislation
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Outstanding accounting and reporting skills
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) would be an asset
- Knowledge of Easypay and Sage 300 would be an asset
