Canduct Industries is a leading manufacturer in electrical insulation, primarily used for cooling for oil cooled transformers. We are looking for a Jr. Accountant in London, ON.
Reporting to the Senior Controller, this individual will assist with a range of responsibilities within our corporate office.
Working Environment
This position will be 100% on site at our facility in London, Ontario and work the Day shift from 7:00AM to 4:00PM Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities
- Reconciliation and overall responsibility for assigned general ledger accounts (including investigation of variances and unusual items).
- Overall responsibility for the intercompany function:
- Liaising with representations of other Canduct or related subsidiaries
- Creating and posting debit/credit notes
- Reconciliation of related accounts and reporting for consolidation, taxation, and other purposes.
- Fixed expenses analysis and monitoring:
- Determination of unposted fixed expense liabilities and accruals.
- Monthly variance analysis (vs. Budget, vs. forecast)
- Assist in budgeting functions related to fixed expenses.
- Assist in creating/posting month-end entries.
- Assist in creating and distributing daily/periodic reports or request for information from various groups/levels within the organization.
- Additional duties as assigned within your department.
Qualified Candidates Will Have
- 2-3 years of finance experience.
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Strong working knowledge of general accounting with minimum 1 year in a general accounting or financial analysis role.
- Previous experience in intercompany transactions/reconciliations
- Experience using ERP accounting software.
- Excel skills - proficiency in using tables, pivot tables and look-up functions.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results-driven approach
- Demonstrated ability for planning, prioritizing, and organizing
- High level of proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
