Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Payroll Analyst – PCP/ Workday/Peoplesoft who will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the PeopleSoft HR/Payroll data, including any tests or validations required. This candidate will assist in the preparation of manual tax slips and also in the preparation of amended tax slips.
Responsibilities
- Support with all payroll accounting year-end payroll data to ensure they are recorded and processed accurately
- Recommend and implement changes to current processes to gain efficiencies and accuracy
- Responsible for tax adjustments and resolution with business partners
- Process quarterly Director Fees payroll
- Responsible for manual off-cycle processing
- Responsible for processing bi-weekly cheque reversals
- Running retiree data integrity reports and ensuring the information on the system is validated/corrected
- Action RMDS reports to correct all data integrity errors to ensure the accuracy of the year-end tax slips
- Balancing all year-end tax slips and completion of year-end government filings
- Support of all expatriate assignments and some globally mobile employees
- Participation in both internal and external audits
- Support payroll and year-end tax slip support for the CEO and Senior Executive Team
- Managing end to end Board of Directors’ payrolls
- Identifying, reviewing, and preparing POIs ( retirees )
- Reviewing and correcting taxes from the Retiree Demographic report and the US Tax Data Query
- Respond to employee enquiries through Helpdesk cases
- Responsible for the daily administrative processes and functions for expatriate payroll
- Support the processing of other payroll tasks as needed
- Support payroll tax slip box balancing
- Provide accurate and timely resolutions to inquiries from our internal and external business partners.
- Review and validate the accuracy of our annual PIER reports from CRA and RQ.
Desired Skill Set
- Comprehensive HR & payroll knowledge of govt. policies, legislation & tax regulations
- Experience with the PeopleSoft payroll system
- Hands-on experience with Advanced Excel
