The ideal candidate is responsible for the coordination and execution of account reconciliations, budget compilation, month end closing and ad hoc duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, and purchases
- Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes
- Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for external reporting
- Financial reporting
- Month end closing
- Support the Controller with year-end and audit work
- Ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting & Finance
- 3+ years' accounting experience at a corporate level required
- CPA enrolment is a great asset
- Ability to support with year end, audits and additional duties
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication skills; written and verbal
