Here is what you will be doing:
Supporting the Strategy and Transformation (S&T) team, analysts play an integral role in collaborating across teams to advance Ontario Health’s mandate to deliver an integrated health care system. S&T works cross-functionally and partners with program areas across the organization to advise, execute and measure the impact of our projects, products and deliverables to advance our strategic priorities.
Corporate performance and reporting team: Through evidence we continually improve and drive alignment of our internal business reporting to our strategic priorities. These products and reports are tailored to their audiences, including our corporate scorecard, program dashboards, and annual business plan, to support Ontario Health’s CEO, Senior Leadership Team, the Board and teams across the agency to deliver on their objectives and measure the impact on the system.

A success candidate for the Analyst role will contribute to this portfolio through:

Leading analysis of opportunities to better align and integrate services that support the delivery of coordinated care experiences for people living in and receiving care in Ontario.

Applying superb analytical, data visualization and presentation skills to establish and articulate implementation options that advance strategic concepts and complex ideas as they relate to health care transformations (service integration, incentives, accountability, and strategic partnerships).

Supporting the coordination of Ontario Health strategic partnership and integration activities.
-
Support project management functions, from initiation to close, while monitoring timely completion of tasks and activities to help ensure project delivery remains on time, within budget and scope.
-
Provide research and analysis that supports Ontario Health’s Senior Leadership Team to implement key strategic priorities, including the further integration of Ontario’s provincial healthcare system.
-
Tailor data visualizations to support decision makers' ability to understand and act based on evidence.
-
Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and supporting data pipelines, reporting processes and quality assurance.
-
Work independently to conduct research and analysis on existing models of integrated care (provincially, nationally, and internationally) including aspects that shape system behavior toward enhanced service integration (such as performance reporting, monitoring and management, funding, and accountability).

Engage subject matter experts and leaders from across the various Ontario Health portfolios, as well as external stakeholders, as required, to develop and inform strategic options and planning approaches.

Support business planning functions through its life cycle, supporting portfolios in the development of their key strategic deliverables, outcomes, and success criteria.

Assist in forming strategic options, planning approaches and integrating quantitative performance goals (e.g., identification of key performance indicators).
-
Support presentation of findings to senior leadership and translate feedback into options analysis for potential future implementation within a provincial context.
-
Support in the development of reports/presentations/business intelligence tools for various strategic partnership meetings and activities.
-
Support knowledge translation of strategic concepts and complex ideas into reports and presentations for various audiences, internal and external, to support meetings and activities. Support for the effective management of complex, high-pace and sensitive projects, including identifying risks and developing and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Education and Experience

Undergraduate Degree required, preferably in Business, Health Administration, Computer Science or another relevant discipline.

A Masters-Level Degree in these fields would be an asset.

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in strategy, planning, project or program management role.

Work experience in health care is an asset.
Knowledge and Skills

Superior verbal and written communication skills and can present complex concepts clearly and effectively for senior leaders.

Proven research and analytical skills.

Skilled in creating products (e.g., papers, reports, presentations, diagrams) for multiple internal and external audiences.

Detail-oriented with strong problem solving, critical thinking, and negotiating skills.

Experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitation of group consensus and decision making.

Proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility, and respect.

Proven ability in project management, with strong time management and organizational skills.

Proven ability to work in a variety of team situations.

Excellent computer skills and the ability to use a variety of software programs (including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)

For the Corporate Performance and Reporting team, experience with PowerBI dashboard development, Power Query and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) is highly encouraged. Experience with database management systems (e.g., Microsoft Access) and with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is an asset.
