JOB DESCRIPTION
- Preparation of compilation engagements, including working papers and financial statements;
- Preparation and completion of personal, corporate, partnership and trust tax returns;
- Preparation of T slips (T3, T4, T5);
- Assist in preparation of bookkeeping files for clients prior to our work;
- Full cycle bookkeeping for a wide variety of businesses. This includes preparing monthly bank reconciliations, credit card statement reconciliations, payroll filings and remittances, GST, PST, and WCB filings and remittances, and maintaining accounts receivables, accounts payables, and project subsidiary ledgers;
- Liaise with CRA on tax related matters and corresponding with clients;
- Creating and developing templates as necessary in your work;
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance (preferred), or related field
· Actively working towards a CPA designation will be considered an asset
· Previous experience with QuickBooks and a tax software will be considered an asset
· Understanding and experience in full cycle accounting
· Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
· Highly organized and keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;
· Ability to represent the Firm and liaise with clients in a professional and friendly manner;
· Proficient skills in MS Office
· Team members are expected to work in the office 5 days per week (we will give priority to candidates residing in North Shore but all applicants will be considered)

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
